Privacy and data

This site does not use cookies, does not run advertising trackers, and never asks for your name. It does record anonymous, coarsened figures so the model can be improved over time. This page explains exactly what that means.

What is collected

When you type a salary or net worth into the dashboard, that figure is recorded as an anonymous data point, rounded to the nearest AED 100. It is stored alongside the percentile it produced, which of the three comparison groups you were viewing, and any of the three optional refinements you chose: your broad field of work, an experience band, and an emirate. Nothing here identifies you. If you tap none of the refinement chips, only the figure and the percentile are recorded.

Alongside that, the site records ordinary usage events: which tab you opened, which comparison group you selected, and whether you clicked a link that leads to another website. Each event carries the page address, the referring website's domain name, your browser window width, your time zone, and a randomly generated identifier that distinguishes one browser from another. That identifier is a random string created in your browser. It is not derived from anything about you and it cannot be linked back to a person.

If you enter an email address into the sign-up strip, that address is stored and joined to the anonymous figures from your session. That only happens if you type it and press the button.

What is never collected

No name, no phone number, no employer, no job title beyond the role you may type into the salary check, no passport or Emirates ID details, no payment information, and no precise location. The site sets no cookies of any kind, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss. No third-party advertising or social media tracking scripts run on any page. Your exact salary figure is never stored: values are rounded before they leave your browser, and anything below AED 500 or above AED 5,000,000 a month is discarded rather than recorded.

Why it is collected

The UAE has no published income percentile series. The model behind this dashboard is assembled from labour force statistics, wage protection system coverage, recruiter salary guides and distributional national accounts, and it is documented in full on the methodology page. Self-reported figures from visitors are the one source that can validate and sharpen that model over time, which is why they are worth collecting. Aggregate results may be published on this site. Individual entries never will be.

How to opt out

The site honours the Do Not Track setting and the Global Privacy Control signal. If either is enabled in your browser, nothing at all is recorded and no identifier is created. Every feature of the dashboard continues to work exactly as it does otherwise. You can also clear the site's stored data at any time through your browser's settings for this domain, which removes the random identifier and any remembered preferences.

Storage, retention and sharing

Data is stored on infrastructure operated by the site's hosting and analytics providers. Anonymous usage and salary records are retained while they remain useful to the model. Email addresses are retained until you ask for removal. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers. Aggregated, non-identifying summaries may be shared publicly or with partners.

Referral links

Some links on this site lead to third-party services and may be referral links, which means the site could earn a commission if you sign up. These are marked and they never affect the figures shown or the order in which anything is presented. Clicking one takes you to that company's own site, where their privacy policy applies rather than this one.

Contact and removal

To have an email address removed from the list, or to ask what is held, use the contact address published on the site. Requests are actioned manually. Because the usage records contain no identifying information, individual usage entries cannot be located and removed once submitted; clearing the site's stored data in your browser prevents any further records being associated with it.

Not financial advice

Everything on this site is modelled estimate and general information. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not personalised to your circumstances. Figures are approximations built from public sources and should not be relied on for any decision without independent verification.

Frequently asked questions

Does this site use cookies?
No. The site sets no cookies. It stores a random identifier and your display preferences in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings, and it runs no third-party advertising or social media trackers.
Is my salary stored exactly as I typed it?
No. Figures are rounded to the nearest AED 100 in your browser before anything is sent, and values below AED 500 or above AED 5,000,000 a month are discarded entirely. The stored figure is a coarsened, anonymous data point.
Can I use the dashboard without giving anything?
Yes. Every percentile, chart, benchmark and verdict on the site is free and ungated. The optional refinement chips and the email sign-up can both be ignored entirely with no loss of function.
How do I opt out of data collection?
Enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser. When either signal is present the site records nothing and creates no identifier, while every feature continues to work normally.
All figures are modelled estimates compiled 2026-08-03 from the World Inequality Database, UBS Global Wealth Report, UAE Federal Competitiveness & Statistics Centre, Henley & Partners, and published recruiter salary guides. Full methodology and sources.
